Globally drinking and driving has become a serious problem.We believe effective measures for preventing drink driving need to be introduced urgently. The i-KEY would be a perfect answer to all the unwanted drink driving problems.

Making the new preventive measures mandatory would help to ensure our roads are safe and avoid the loss of innocent lives.

The target market for the i-KEY is any place where drink driving poses a threat to road safety. It may be applied to all vehicles, private or public.

At the initial stage, we are looking for alliance partners to market and manufacture the key, with focus on the markets of China, Japan, Korea, the rest of Asia, Europe, North America, South America, New Zealand and Australia. Already 15 approved suppliers from the USA, China, Europe, Japan and Hong Kong have signed up.

Strategy

Our intention is to ensure speedy adoption and widespread usage of the key in order to make our roads more safe and less accident-prone.

We plan to address this as a community initiative as well as unique market opportunity through targeting the following distinct market segments:

  1. Carmakers
    It has been a big challenge for carmakers to address the drink driving problem. To modify old cars would be cumbersome and would consume much time. A breakthrough technology has yet to emerge for new cars to be duly equipped with the appropriate prevention device. The i-KEY would be a good fit for both existing and new cars, and would provide the carmakers with a benevolent image of being socially responsible corporate citizens.

  2. Insurance companies
    Car insurers would welcome the i-KEY and may be in a position to specify in their requirements the installation of the i-KEY in return for a discount in the premium.

  3. Car-key manufacturers and assemblers
    The i-KEYs are best produced in the local market to ensure speedy delivery. Toolkits and patented components will be provided.

  4. Service companies
    These include garages and other companies engaged in car maintenance and servicing. They are the front-end contact points for car owners and drivers, and can play a significant role in spreading the word about what is best in balancing safe driving and drinking.
Competitive Strengths

The i-KEY is unique and therefore has no direct competitor for the following reasons:

  1. Existing in-car devices are fitted to the car's dashboard, door lock, or other parts of the car, thereby requiring modification of vehicle and special installation.

  2. No patent application exists that has the same level of research or investment or thorough testing as the i-KEY i-KEY is the world's first working in-car device.
